How it works

Acquired the way serious assets change hands.

Direct from the owner, paid through Stripe, structured to fit the buyer — outright purchase, owner-carry note, or 0% lease-to-own. No auctions, no broker markup, no surprises.

Step 01 · Inquire

Request the offering.

Each listing has a private inquiry form. Drop your name, email, and an optional offer. Pricing, financing terms, and supporting materials (appraisal, traffic, comparable sales) are sent confidentially within hours during business days.

Step 02 · Structure

Buy, finance, or offer.

Accept the Buy Now price, finance with a 0%-interest lease-to-own (typically 12–48 months), structure an owner-carry note with a flexible down payment, or counter the asking. Negotiations happen directly with the owner — no broker, no auction.

Step 03 · Pay & transfer

Stripe → auth code → yours.

Pay the invoice through Stripe (stripe.com). As soon as Stripe confirms cleared funds, the registrar auth (EPP) code and transfer instructions are emailed to you the same business day. Submit the code at the registrar of your choice and the domain is yours — typically inside 24 hours of payment.

You're negotiating with the actual owner.

Most premium domains and online businesses change hands through brokers, marketplaces, or auctions. Each adds friction, fees, and a layer of misalignment between what the buyer pays and what the seller receives.

This portfolio is different. Every asset listed on this site is personally owned and sold by Sean Hakes. When you submit an inquiry, the message lands in his inbox. When you make an offer, you're negotiating with the person whose name is on the registrar account — not a sales rep working a quota.

That's why pricing isn't public. Each conversation is private, each deal is structured to fit the buyer, and there is no third party sitting between you and the asset.

Three ways to structure the deal.

Outright purchase. Pay the Buy Now price (sent privately on inquiry) through Stripe. Auth code and transfer instructions follow as soon as funds clear — usually the same business day. The cleanest, fastest path.

Owner-carry note. A flexible down payment (typically 20–30%) charged via Stripe, with the remainder financed over 12–36 months at a market rate. Auth code and full ownership transfer once the note is paid in full.

0% lease-to-own. No down payment beyond the first installment. Pay monthly, use the domain throughout, and ownership transfers when the final payment clears. Common terms run 12–48 months.

Specific terms for any listing are sent privately on inquiry and finalized based on buyer profile and asset class.

Stripe handles the money. Auth codes handle the transfer.

Every transaction is paid through Stripe (stripe.com) — the same payment infrastructure used by Shopify, Amazon, Lyft, and most of the modern internet. You receive a Stripe-hosted invoice that accepts card or ACH bank payment, with full PCI-compliant card encryption and dispute/chargeback protection through Stripe's standard rails.

The moment Stripe confirms cleared funds, the registrar auth (EPP) code and transfer instructions are emailed to you the same business day. You initiate the inbound transfer at your registrar of choice (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains, Porkbun, or any ICANN-accredited registrar), enter the auth code, and the domain pushes to your account.

Domain transfers typically complete within 24 hours of cleared payment — faster when both parties use the same registrar (often inside an hour). For owner-financed deals, ownership and DNS control transfer once the final installment clears Stripe.

Proof of ownership, on request.

Before any transaction begins, you can request WHOIS verification or a signed registrar statement confirming that Sean Hakes is the registered owner of the asset.

Every listing on this site is owned outright — no brokered listings, no consigned domains, no “listed on behalf of a client.” If it's on the site, the seller can transfer it to you.

Frequently asked.

Why isn't the price listed publicly?
This is a private marketplace for serious buyers. Pricing, financing terms, and supporting materials are sent privately upon request — partly to protect the seller's negotiating position, partly because financing structures are buyer-specific. The inquiry form on each listing is the fastest way to receive everything in one packet.
Are offers actually considered?
Yes. Real offers get real answers — yes, counter, or a clear no — usually within hours during business days. There is no auction. You're negotiating directly with the owner, and the door is open to creative structures.
What if I'm not ready to buy yet?
Inquire anyway. Receiving the price packet, financing options, and supporting materials creates no obligation. Most buyers sit on the information for weeks before pulling the trigger. That's normal — this is not a high-pressure sales environment.
Do you broker domains owned by other people?
Not on this site. Every domain listed here is owned outright by Sean Hakes. The brokerage practice does take on third-party representation cases for premium domains and online businesses on a selective basis — if you have a high-quality asset to sell, get in touch through the contact form.
What about online businesses?
The brokerage represents established online businesses (content sites, ecommerce, SaaS, niche marketplaces) on a selective, off-market basis. Listings are not posted publicly to protect the operating business; introductions to qualified buyers happen privately. Reach out via the contact page if you're a buyer or seller.
